songwriting

Well I have writing and studying songwriting a lot lately.

Joined a A&R company, taxi.com and have submitted a few songs. I'm yet to hear back. One of the things that I have learned is that the bar is very high for songs. You have 3 kinds of songs
1,bad songs
2, average good songs
3, hits.

It is easy to write a average good song. But what about a hit.

It's a journey, keep on writing and re-writing and then rewrite again.

i am getting pretty excited about this year. Some of the things that i will be launching is a new monthly newsletter/email blog thing. What this is..... basically it will be a newsletter that i will send out once a month with a free unreleased single. and some info about what happin.

Alive to Live OUT NOW

At last i have in my hands "ALIVE TO LIVE" the album. it has been a while in the making. The last Album that i had done in a complete package form was "POSSIBILITIES" released in 2006. 

As a songwriter i need to release more songs. I actually want to record and release 2 albums min a year.

Alive to Live Album

i just finished reviewing the Mastered copy. Great love it, i am really happy with the mastering done by sound lab in Nashville.

useable ..... part 1

so many times we ask God to use us, but i believe that we should ask God to make us more useable.

It is not God that gets in the way, so if it's not God then it must be us. 

i encourage you to ask God on a regular basis, what is it that i need to work on to become more 

"useable for your cause"

God has called us to Know him

i believe that God has called us to know him. 

The bible says that some will stand before God on judgement day and say lord i did this, i helped these people i gave to the poor, but God will say i did not know you.

if you just stop to listen to what he is saying "i did not know you" 

my goal is to get as close to God as i can, i want to know him so well, that when he leads i will know his voice and follow.

are you getting results or are you just busy?

We can fill our lives up with so much stuff, things that we think we have to do, things we think are so important. If we are not careful we can stress out over nothing. 

I am personally starting to ask myself "is this so important" or "can this wait" and if it can then i will move on. 

I believe that this will help you to have fruit in your life and not just keep you "busy"

Next time someone asks you what you have been doing stop before you say "i have been so busy" and ask your self am i producing?
