I went to my first American football game on the weekend, totally stoked, I couldn’t believe how many people and how loud they could get, yelling over a ball of air. Haha.
It was FLORDIA STATE UNIVISITY Vs COLORADO STATE.

I hadn’t been following either team so I found myself cheering for each good play.
FSU fans surrounded me so I had to keep it down when CU did something good.

I had a blast thanks to my friend Robbie who paid for the tickets and I couldn’t stop laughing; it was a total culture shock.

never give up

It is funny how it always seems darkest before the dawn.
Usually our biggest break is right around that corner, but that is when so many people might just give up.

Prison Ministries

I just watched a Joyce Meyer pod cast and she was talking about prison ministries.
It really opened my eyes. The word says to go into all the dark places and shine a light.

The “system” as they call it, is definitely a dark place in serious need of the light. Some people shared of how God had changed their lives, which was awesome to hear.

You know that all of heaven rejoices when one of us on earth choose to live for Christ.

This guy is a freak.

The thing with Kelly is that you don’t want to put him in a position to win but worst than that, you don’t want to push him up against the wall, because he will push back even harder.

Yesterday at the Trestles final he was backed against the wall, Taj Burrows had him playing catch up most of the heat. But out of nowhere Kelly caught 2 near perfect waves to win. The scores were 18.97 - 18.63 (out of a possible 20.00)

They say this was one of the top finals to watch.
I have been a fan of Kelly’s since his first appearance.
He is a very smooth surfer.

prayer list

if you are like me, forgetful, you might want to write out your own personal "prayer list".

i just updated my list. it seems that with so much going on in life, it is easy to forget what you need to pray for. So every week or so i update my "list".
The list for me, consists of things that i am praying and believing for, things that i am asking God to do, things that i am trusting God for and things that i am thankful for.
The cool thing is that, a few months down the track you can see how God came through and answered those prayers.

"The best is not yet written"

In life we have two choices, to think and dwell on the discouragements of this life, which will come, or to pick out the positive small things that have happened during our day and then meditate on them.

This means to speak out and give praise for all the good things.
Try your best to forget all the bad things.

One of these choices will bring you down and the other one will raise you up, give you new hope, give you a sense that the “best is not yet written”

Tropical storm FAY ……. The watery one.

woke up Thursday morning around 5 am to the sound of huge crashing thump. Tropical Storm Fay, was saying hi. We had a tree fall on our house, so being the handy man I was …….. NOT …… I got up on the roof and patched it up. Maybe I should stick to the music?

We were fortunate not to have the power out but our cable was out for 4 days so we could get online. It’s amazing how much we need the to be connected. I can’t imagine what it would have been like if our phones were out.

I guess these are rich man problems, cable goes out, ac breaks, too much rain. Our problems aren’t that bad.
